Are there two stores?

Gardenswartz has two stores in Durango on Main Street. The original store, Gardenswartz Sporting Goods, offers hunting, fishing, workwear, and sports gear. The second store, Gardenswartz Outdoors, specializes in gear and clothing for hiking, climbing, backpacking, and camping.

Can I buy a fishing or hunting license for Colorado here?

Yes, we can accommodate your request. Please note that we are only able to sell licenses issued in Colorado; we cannot provide licenses from New Mexico or Tribal licenses.

What is your return policy?

  • Regular Priced Items:

    • A receipt is required for all returns.

    • Items must be in original sellable condition.

    • Cash back is available within 30 days of purchase.

    • After 30 days, only store credit or exchanges are offered.

  • Sale Items:

    • A receipt is required for all returns.

    • No cash back; only store credit or exchanges are offered.

Can I buy a firearm from out of state?

The selling requirements differ based on your state of residence. There are certain states where we are unable to conduct sales. Additionally, compliance with both Colorado regulations and those of your residential state is essential.

Do you allow dogs?

Gardenswartz is known for dependable gear and knowledgeable staff, but our shop dogs steal the spotlight. Friendly dogs are welcome to join you while shopping, as long as they play well with others.

What do you need to buy a gun in Colorado?

To purchase a firearm, it is essential to complete and pass a 4473 background check. Additionally, you will be subject to a mandatory three-day waiting period before you can pick up your firearm. You must have all necessary information ready.

Do you do firearm transfers?

Yes, we facilitate transfers exclusively to and from Federal Firearm License (FFL) holders. This process involves a transfer fee, a mandatory background check, and the FFL information for the business involved in shipping or receiving the items.

Do you sell handguns?

We do not sell handguns. Our focus is primarily on long guns, specifically those related to hunting.
